Conflicts & caveats
- GitHub Copilot does not officially support Cursor.
- Replit has its own built-in AI Agent โ external integrations like GitHub Copilot cannot run inside the Replit web IDE.
- Void Editor is BYO-API-key first โ GitHub Copilot runs as an extension on top, which can work but isn't the intended Void workflow.
- Lapce has a small plugin ecosystem; GitHub Copilot may not have an official plugin yet.
- GitHub Copilot does not officially support RStudio โ use direct API calls or the rstudio.cloud Copilot integration.
- GitHub Copilot does not officially support Spyder โ use the direct API.
- Cursor Mobile only runs Cursor-managed agents and background tasks โ local-only integrations like GitHub Copilot cannot run on the phone.
- @codebase (Cursor) only works with Cursor built-in integration (yours is GitHub Copilot).
- Continue's codebase indexing only works when the integration is Continue.dev (yours is GitHub Copilot).
- Windsurf codebase indexing only works with Windsurf Cascade integration (yours is GitHub Copilot).
- Aider architect mode requires the Aider integration (yours is GitHub Copilot).
